Issues

Each key topic is developed in issues. Each issue is organized to favour a coherent learning path and can be reached by using the menu on the right.

Structure of issues

Each issue develops a topic according to a pattern common to the other sections. It contains a brief Introduction, followed by proposals of phenomenological observations (in the section Observation). These observations are referred by the animations of the next section (Investigation), which is organized in more pages to favour a reflection on the observed phenomenology. The section Exercise helps student to confirm his/her knowledge. Finally, the section Further Investigation points at additional resources on the key topic considered.

The common pattern of each section is represented on the menu in the lower part of the screen, which allows users to reach each section.

Interaction with animations and site navigation

All sections contain interactive animations. The user can easily identify the interactive elements thanks to their color (yellow with red borders) as figure shows: by clicking on the yellow piston, the user can start the animation.

Blue arrows at bottom, on the right side, can be used to move ahead or to come back. When a movie reaches its end, clicking on the forward arrows brings to the beginning of the next page.
